Jewish studies Bar/Bat mitzvah what did I learn

We were learning about Bar/Bat mitzvahs and what responsibilities it comes with. Bar/Bat mitzvahs are milestones in someone’s life. It depends what level of observance you follow, but if you are orthodox there are more responsibilities, such as putting on tefillin and wearing tzitzit. Tefillin are black leather straps connected to a black box. There are two parts to the tefillin, the one on the arm, and the one on the head.

This is how to wear them

Boys are also commanded to wear tzitzit after their bar mitzvah. Tzitzit are fringes attached to the tallit meant to remind people of G-d 613 commandments/mitzvot.

Other responsibilities include keeping shabbat, keeping kosher, giving tzedakah, and others.
